The British Shorthair Cat is calm, patient, gentle and dignified. He is a great representative of cat arystocracy. He is an ideal companion for children because of his gentle nature. The British Shorthair Cat grows very attached to his caretaker and he does not take his eyes off his beloved human partner. However, it does not mean he is intrusive. The British Shorthair does not need much living space due to his moderate temper. He does not tend to jump or climb. He prefers to keep his four paws on the ground. He does not care about pot plants either.
The British Shorthair Cat looks different from other cats. He is big, massive, muscular and compact. A perfect British Shorthair should look like a teddy bear and should feel like a teddy bear when touched. His short and dense fur does not require much care except for occasional brush and bath.
The British Shorthair Cat is long-lived and healthy. He lives for 12-15 years. He can be found in almost all colour varieties but the most common and popular is the solid blue variety.

content/Grafika/Glowna/Obraz-047_ram.gifWe have fallen in love with the Colourpointed British Shorthair. This beautiful colour variety is gaining more and more admirers. colourpoints have fair coats with points (face, ears, paws and a tail) of a different colour, eg. seal, blue, lilac, chocolate, red, cream, tabby, tortie. All colourpointed cats have blue eyes.
The decision to adopt the British Shorthair Cat was one of the best decisions in our life.
